Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Jyotastro (“Jyotastro”, “we”, “us”) at jyotastro.com, including the kundli generator, Ashtakoot Guna Milan match making, daily rashi predictions, and the AI astrologer (coming soon). By creating an account or using any part of Jyotastro, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Jyotastro.

1. Description of the service

Jyotastro computes birth charts (kundlis), Nakshatra and Rashi placements, Vimshottari Dasha periods, and Ashtakoot Guna Milan compatibility scores using real astronomical calculations of planetary positions at the date, time, and place you provide, interpreted through traditional Vedic astrological methodology. Daily rashi predictions are general, rashi-level readings, not personalized to your exact birth chart unless generated through the kundli tool.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Jyotastro.
• You’re responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information, both your own account details and any birth details you submit for yourself or, for match making, for another consenting person.
• One account per person. We may suspend accounts used to impersonate others or submit data for people without their knowledge or consent.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from Jyotastro.
• Submit another person’s birth details for match making without their knowledge or consent.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Jyotastro’s systems.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates any applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

The Jyotastro name, logo, design, and the astrology calculation engine are owned by Jyotastro. The birth details and content you submit remain yours; you grant us the right to process them solely to provide you the service described in these Terms, and we may use aggregated, de-identified data (that cannot be traced back to you) to improve Jyotastro.

6. Payments

Jyotastro’s core kundli, match making, and daily prediction tools are free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, payments will be processed by a third-party payment processor (such as Razorpay), and additional terms specific to that feature will be presented to you before you pay.

7. Limitation of liability

Jyotastro is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jyotastro and its team are not liable for any decision made, or outcome experienced, in reliance on a kundli, compatibility score, or prediction, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Termination

You may stop using Jyotastro, or request deletion of your account, at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, particularly the acceptable-use section above.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Jyotastro’s features change. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do; continued use of Jyotastro after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
